What We’ll Cover:
• Reading Comprehension & Analysis:
Strengthen close reading skills by learning how to identify key arguments, themes, tone, structure, and supporting evidence across fiction and nonfiction texts.
• Writing Structure & Development:
Improve organization, paragraph structure, thesis development, transitions, and overall clarity to create stronger, more cohesive writing.
• Evidence-Based Writing & Revision
Learn how to effectively integrate evidence, strengthen analysis, revise with purpose, and edit for grammar, style, and flow.
Students will leave with clearer writing strategies, stronger analytical skills, and greater confidence approaching academic assignments independently.
Format: 60-minute traditional writing center-style consultation
Schedule: Flexible, 1:1 or small group (up to 4), 1 session weekly (evening or weekend)
Location: Palatine Public Library or another agreed-upon location
Includes personalized feedback, revision guidance, and actionable next steps following each session.
Cost: $95 single session or $500 for 6 session bundle
